Open House/Evaluation Nights! Registration Open

We ask that you complete the registration form prior to attending our evaluation/open house nights. This is the time to come meet the coaches and ask questions about the club season while your player plays volleyball. Coaches assigned to their age groups will be doing evaluations.

Mark your calendars! Open House/Pre-Tryout Evaluation Nights begin next week! Players MUST be registered to attend these events. During these sessions, coaches will begin evaluating players, running similar tryout drills, and providing an opportunity for players and parents to check out our club! It is strongly recommended that anyone that is interested in trying out for Momentum this year attend these sessions. See you there!

Meet Our Coaches – Experts in Boys’ Volleyball, Committed to Your Athlete

At Momentum Volleyball Club, we pride ourselves on having one of the most experienced and dedicated coaching staffs in boys’ volleyball. Our coaches aren’t just former players or part-time instructors—they are specialists in coaching boys, with a deep understanding of the game, the athletes, and the relationships that drive success. Each coach at MVC is assigned to one team only—a deliberate decision that ensures consistency, accountability, and much better communication with the players and team parents. Unlike other clubs that rotate coaches across multiple teams, we believe your child deserves a coach who will be by their side all season—learning their strengths, understanding lineup dynamics, recognizing development over time, and building real trust. A consistent coaching presence enhances both the player experience and the parent experience, allowing for clear communication, long-term development, and a true sense of team. We also believe that the most important part of your club dues is the coach standing in front of your child—someone who is not only knowledgeable but also a high-character, trustworthy role model. Coaching is about far more than wins and titles on the coaches resume; it's about building culture, relationships, and the confidence to grow.

2025-2026 Season Info and Team Descriptions

MVC expects another large turnout, with plans to have 10-13 teams based on our current projections. This will allow MVC to offer multiple teams in almost all age groups, including multiple Nationals teams and regional/local level teams. In some cases, we may even have 3 or 4 teams available in a single age group.

Nationals Teams: 

Our Nationals teams compete at the highest level in a year-round schedule from Aug-July (break from Feb-April) and compete in both USAV and AAU tournaments. Some teams will go to AAU Nationals, and Some Teams will go to USAV National Championships over the summer.  Our 1s and 2s Nationals teams have been very competitive in the 16s, 17s, and 18s age groups the last several years.

Multiple travel tournaments are included to help prepare the athletes for Nationals in July, gain exposure from college recruits, and compete against high quality competition

Full commitment from players is required, and all playing time is earned 

Regional Teams: 

Our Regional teams compete at a high level within the state of AZ including all region tournaments and other local tournaments. No travel is expected, but sometimes has the option to add tournaments via a team vote and at an additional fee.

Primary focus is to play in a competitive environment while continually enhancing their skills & development 

All playing time is earned, everyone is expected to play in each tournament 

Team Names

1s Teams are our Black Teams (Nationals)

2s Teams are our Red Teams (Nationals)

3s Teams are our White Teams - Region

4s Teams are our Teal Teams - Region

Pricing and Dues

Club volleyball is not a month-by-month program. MVC undertakes upfront expenses for various components, including but not limited to uniform packages, facility contracts, tournament and region entry fees, insurance, equipment, salaries, and other operational costs. These expenses are divided among each player on the roster and are integral to providing this comprehensive opportunity for our players. Payment plans are structured to assist families, but the full financial commitment for the season remains unchanged.

If a player makes a roster, we will require an $800 or $900 (Depending on team) Cash or Check (Made out to Momentum Volleyball Club) Deposit immediately following tryouts on August 16th, 2025. We will not be taking credit or debit card payments at tryouts. This deposit covers the complete custom uniform package (which will be ordered immediately) and remaining August dues. We allow the remaining balance for the season to be paid in monthly payment plans, see below.

TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE

AZ Region Schedule

All AZ Region tournaments will be held on Saturdays. They usually start around 9am and end around 4 or 5pm. Teams will usually play 3-4 matches throughout the day. The Region Finals will conclude the region season. All teams will play against only teams in their ages group for this tournament. All exact locations of the region tournaments are TBD and will be announced the week of the tournament.
