Because our staff is focused on boys volleyball, our teams are not competing with a separate girls program for coaching attention during important tryout, practice or tournament periods.

Momentum is a boys-only volleyball club, and our coaching reflects that focus.

Our coaches understand the pace, physicality, communication and style of the boys game. They know that players at different ages respond to different approaches, and they adapt training to meet athletes where they are while maintaining clear standards for effort, teamwork and growth.

Experience matters, but credentials alone do not define a Momentum coach.

We look for coaches who fit our culture, communicate clearly and care about the complete development of their players. Our coaches are expected to teach the game, hold athletes accountable and create an environment where boys can compete, learn and become better teammates.

CONNECTED TO THE NEXT LEVEL

Momentum has built long-standing relationships with collegiate programs, including Ottawa University and Arizona Christian University. These relationships give athletes opportunities to learn from people who actively recruit, train and compete at the collegiate level.

For older athletes, coaches with college playing and coaching experience can provide valuable perspective on development, preparation and the recruiting process. No club can guarantee a college opportunity, but Momentum can help serious players understand what the next level requires.

That continuity matters. Players see coaches who understand the Momentum experience because they helped build it or lived it themselves. It also gives younger athletes an example of where commitment to the game can lead.

Many Momentum coaches have been part of the club for years. Others entered the program as young athletes, competed at higher levels and returned to coach.

CONNECTED TO BOYS VOLLEYBALL IN THE WEST VALLEY

Momentum coaches are active throughout the local boys volleyball community, including high school programs across the area. That experience helps our staff understand the school season, the challenges facing developing players and the transition between school and club competition.

It also gives athletes the benefit of coaches who know the local volleyball landscape and remain involved in the game throughout the year.
