Momentum Volleyball Club Summer Events
Let’s continue the journey to 2025-2026 Club Season Tryouts. This is our tentative schedule for the July. We will continue to email you any updates and changes if you are on our email distribution list. Please help us spread the word and share our information with friends and teammates who may be interested in boys club volleyball this season! Club Dues and Schedules will be announced later this summer. Tryouts are Aug 16th, 2025. We keep our summer drop-in programming around $10 per hour for the events and keep the events flexible so you can choose what events to come to and schedule summer vacations accordingly! If you are new to club, we recommend participating in as many sessions as possible. We are expecting another huge turnout at tryouts this season with multiple teams in every age group! More club season information will be emailed out a little later this summer.
VERY IMPORTANT
If you haven’t done so already, please sign up for our new email distribution list for Summer and Club 2025. This will ensure you are notified of any new events, event changes, registration openings, and when club season info is posted. We will also use this list to ensure we have guardian contact information at the check-in table each night. If you are attending any events over the summer, please complete this form so we have your contact info for event changes and in case of emergency.

Brand new 9th Grade Players with no club experience are eligible for this program as well
The Momentum Boys Academy Program is one of our most popular offerings, consistently selling out each year. This curriculum-based program is designed to prepare your players for the upcoming club tryout season. This program is for players who can make most OR all of the sessions. It is designed for first year & second year club players. You are registering and paying in advanced for a set of 8 sessions and payment will be due on night 1 at the table. No refunds are given for missed nights. We generally end up with a long waiting list of players who will be able to fill the spot if your player is unable to attend.
Prepare for Club Volleyball Success
The program's content becomes more challenging each week, ensuring your player is ready to excel during the competitive club season. Led by certified USAV coaches with extensive experience coaching boys, this program is highly recommended for any player currently in 5th-8th grade, looking to play club volleyball - even if they've participated in the academy before.
Tailored to Player Experience
For returning players, the curriculum will be modified to continue challenging them and introduce new skillsets, keeping them ahead of the curve for the Fall Club Season. The program covers:
· Conditioning
· Fundamental skills
· Practice new skills in Game-play
· Rotations
· Offensive and defensive responsibilities
· Vocabulary (beginner and advanced)
· Communication
· Other essential skills

Boys 5th-8th Grade Academy Details: (Brand new 9th Grade Players with no club experience are eligible for this program as well)
Times: 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM must attend most/all sessions.
Location: Desert Sky Middle School 5130 W Grovers Ave Glendale, AZ 85308
Dates: Monday and Wednesdays in July: 07/07, 07/09, 07/14, 07/16, 07/21, 07/23, 07/28, 07/30
Cost: 250.00 for 8 Sessions (16 Hours of Instruction). Paid Cash or Check (Made out to Momentum Volleyball Club) at the check-in table on first night.
**This program is on Monday and Wednesday's. It allows for players in 9th grade who also fall under the 15s age group to also attend open gyms on Tuesdays and Thursdays in July! See below. Please note, the Academy is at Desert Sky and Open gyms are at Haven.
JULY OPEN GYMS:
PLEASE ATTEND THE JULY OPEN GYMS BASED ON THE USAV AGE DEFINITIONS. THIS IS THE AGE GROUP YOUR PLAYER WILL BE REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE IN FOR CLUB SEASON BASED ON THEIR EXACT BIRTHDAY.
July 7th - July 31st (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) No Registration Required. All players welcome in age group. Drop-Ins welcome!
Courts will be divided up by age and skill level. Keep active over summer and preparing for club tryouts in August.

August Open Gyms Coming Soon!
OPEN HOUSE PERIOD
August 6th-August 15th (FREE Open House Period). We will be announcing dates later this summer! This is the time for you and your family to check out all the clubs before deciding on where to try out. Our open house nights are free and we use these nights to evaluate players. More to come on required memberships and documentation prior to these events. Players come and play volleyball while being evaluated. No contracts will be given out these nights. These events are FREE and we ask that you try and attend both nights in your age group. This is for parents to come ask questions and for players to have extra opportunities to be evaluated prior to tryouts. We also accept all tryout documentation and help with tryout registration questions at these events. More to come later this summer!
Other Notes:
Tryouts will be Saturday August 16th 2025. Location and Times Coming Soon! Parent or guardian is required to be available to pay deposit and sign contract and paperwork this day. More info to come this summer!
