Momentum 17N Impulse Takes 2nd Place Overall at 2018 AZ Girl Power Tournament!

We can’t say enough about this group of ladies. They had a rough weekend in their first tournament together last week. They showed up to practice on Monday and Tuesday determined to get better, immediately. They hit the film room, had defensive classroom training, extended practice to 4 hours and hit the court working hard. The results absolutely paid off. They showed up at 10am to the AZ Girl Power tournament yesterday. After almost 14 hours of volleyball and three location changes, this team went 12-0 in their last 12 sets played for a chance to make it to the finals. They lost the first set, came from behind to win the second set and took the match to an intense game 3. We went to extra points and lost 17-15. The tournament ended after midnight. They played with 7 players all day. These girls literally gave every ounce they had left on the floor last night and we couldn’t be prouder of them. What a turn-around in such a short amount of time!
